Gulabi Protector

Gulabi Protector is acrylic on canvas. This piece was inspired by the plight of women in India having to deal with being victims of rape, and not receiving support from law enforcement, and sometimes being ostracized by their own families. The Gulabi is a gang of women clad in pink that offer sanctuary to women who were victims of abuse. They also force police and government officials to hold abusers accountable. Their strong will is similar to the Tigers that rule jungles of India.
